Product Overview
VSC features
VSC features a Windows®-standard interface and brings new features that allow faster set up, fault resolution and event diagnostics, including:
- Off-line configuration capability allows you to configure the system in your office, rather than having to do it onsite.
- Drag and drop Windows® functionality allows you to work quickly, using familiar tools.
- Multi detector smoke trending displays allows the smoke levels measured by several detectors to be compared. This might indicate whether the elevated level is due to an environmental situation or actual smoke.
- Real time active event list to simplify commissioning and maintenance
- Event log filtering allows you to quickly sort all the events to find what you are looking for such as the time a specific event occurred or the frequency of an event occurance.
- Multi-language export allows you to save VSC data in your local language and send it to someone else who can then view it in another language. VSC automatically translates the file.
- Multiple Views for entire network management allows the simultaneous display of an overview view of the network and several other windows displaying information about elements of the network e.g. active event list and a mimic display of one of the detectors.
- User-definable Device View means that you can configure the displays how you like to work and they will be saved in the VSC configuration file. Next time you use VSC you can quickly display the information as you like to see it e.g. Jim’s maintenance view.
- Automatic network discovery takes the hard work out of identifying and addressing devices on the network. At the click of a mouse VSC will seek out all the devices on the network. It will then automatically assign addresses to those devices. This means that you can arrive onsite, connect VSC to the VESDAnet network, click a button and have all the details of the VESDA system appear on the VSC screen.
- Merge and Compare of detectors and network configuration allows you to quickly identify what has changed since the last time you connected. Allows changes to be audited.
- Resetting Factory Defaults allows you to return a VESDA smoke detector to a known state.
- Group wide device setting means that you can assign several devices to a group and send an action e.g. AutoLearn, to the group rather than having to do each device individually. Saves loads of time.
- Improved mimic function means that you can determine the status of a device at a glance.
- Comprehensive context sensitive Help gives step-by-step instructions for common tasks.
VSC supports all current VESDA products
VSC can be used to configure, install, commission and maintain the standard range of VESDA smoke detectors.
