Security providers around the world are using video technologies to both slash the cost of providing security to their customers and to offer more value-adding services to those same customers.

Using video instead of security guards protects the margins and profitability of the Security provider and differentiates them from other companies that still offer conventional alarm monitoring services. It also allows them to approach new customers with an attractive and effective service.

How do they do this? With an ADPRO security system that allows them to:

Use video to confirm the cause of an alarm before they respond. This reduces the number of patrolling security guards needed to investigate alarms.
Respond to an alarm using the 2-way audio system integrated with the ADPRO products. This can be used to quickly warn off an intruder or ask a visitor at a call point for ID.
Interface with control systems to do things like turn off lights, open gates or control machinery.
Provide virtual guard tours, using CCTV to check that everything at a remote site is OK.
Provide services such as confirming the arrival/departure and contents of goods deliveries
Integrate VESDA smoke detection with the ADPRO security system so that the central monitoring station can respond to the first very early warning smoke alarm. Response could be as simple as taking a virtual tour of the room where the alarm was activated to determine the cause of the alarm, or switching off a piece of equipment that has been known to overheat and activate the alarm. Further investigation can then be passed onto another response team.
