Why use a VESDA system?


High ceilings make it difficult to install and maintain smoke detectors, as equipment such as scaffolding or scissor lifts must be used. A VESDA smoke detection system can be installed with the detectors at ground level, making maintenance easy.	Scheduling maintenance in buildings that are open to the public 24/7, such as train stations, airports, ATM alcoves and hospitals can be a nightmare. A VESDA smoke detector system can have the detectors at floor level, with the maintenance-free pipe network installed on the ceiling.	Installing smoke detection beneath floors or in roof spaces can create a maintenance problem if the detectors are physically located in these areas. A VESDA smoke detection system can be configured with only the air sampling pipes in the area being protected, and the detector positioned somewhere more accessible.
