Access control security system with video verification
Multiple sites mean big savings
If you have multiple sites, each with a guard house at the gate, then switching to a remotely monitored access control security system will mean big savings on your security bill. One operator in a central station can monitor several sites. With multiple CCTV cameras on each site, the operator can 'see' much more of each site than a guard sitting in a guard house.
Replacing guards on gates with remotely monitored video
A truck arrives at the gate to the warehouse complex.
As it pulls up to the gate, it activates a sensor in the road that is part of an access control security system.
The sensor triggers the capturing and relaying of video images to a central station. The central station is 300km away where it manages the access control to 55 other sites, just like this one.
At the central station, number plate recognition software analyses the video images.
If the number plate matches one from a pre-loaded list of expected delivery trucks then the gate automatically opens. If there is no match, then an alarm notifies the central station operator.
The operator looks at the video to check the plate. If its obsurred by mud or otherwise unreadable, the operator uses an audio system to talk to the truck's driver.
After determining that the truck should be allowed in, the central station operator remotely opens the gate at the site, allowing the truck to drive through.
